Cleft lip and palate is the most frequent congenital oral dysmophosis (1/600 births). They can be associated with polyformative syndromes. The aetiology often unknown, but heredity still a predominant factor. These clefts result from an absence or insufficient fusion of different facial buds occurring fifth to 7th week intrauterine life. have several forms. treatment cleft requires multidisciplinary management. When orthodontics lacking, prosthesis takes over. Combined maxillofacial surgery, results are spectacular.
